Tried to retrieve email from my yahoo account by Firefox Thunderbird, but got message:ERROR LOGGING IN?

The account setup in THUNDERBIRD was done correctly, including pop3 server name and PIN code

Answers:
Depends... Some accounts can be accessed by a mail client, some not.
If you are paying for the service you should be able to use Thunderbird but you have to remember to check SMTP authentication.
Look in help for POP Access and Forwarding Help - it gives full details (but not for Thundebird...)
Try checking 'use secure authentication' in Server settings if nothing else works.
