How do I revert back to a prior version of mozilla firefox? I just downloaded the update files and now I?

2.0.0.6 for Windows,Mac,Linux

Question:can't connect to the internet with this browser but Internet Explorer works fine. So how do I undo the update?

It's possible you are behind a firewall and it is blocking Firefox from accessing the internet. If you are using Windows XP SP2 go to Start > Control Panel > Security Center and Under Manage Security Settings click Windows Firewall and go to the Exceptions tab if Firefox is in the list check it and if it isn't in the list click Add Program and then add it to the list.

If that isn't the case, uninstall the version of Firefox you just got (what version was it?) and try installing Firefox 1.0.7, if you can find it. Mozilla has pulled that version in favor of Firefox 1.5. My guess is there is a firewall preventing it from accessing the network and if it isn't Windows Firewall then you will have to go through the settings in whichever one you are using.

It's also possible that there is a restore point right before you installed the newer version so go to Start > All Program > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore and select "restore my computer to an earlier time" and see if there is a restore point before you installed the update (any date in bold has a restore point set). If there is click on that date, click Next and click Next, the restore process will now start, let your computer reboot and you should have the older version back.

In order to install the older version of Firefox, first uninstall the existing version as follows:

1. Start>Control Panel
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon
3. Scroll through the list to locate Firefox and click on it. Click on the Change/Remove buttong to uninstall it.
4. Now go to the following website and download version 0.8 of Firefox.
