               2.0.0.6 for Windows,Mac,Linux

Question:what are the pros and cons?

Answers:
With Firefox its harder to screw up your PC and it protects you from ID theft a little better than IE.

A lot of IE's woes come from the simple fact that it has Active X built into it. Firefox by default doesn't have Active X at all.

From Microsoft
"An ActiveX control can be an extremely insecure way to provide a feature...From the moment a user downloads an ActiveX control, the control may be vulnerable to attack..."
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defaul...

United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone security model,...ActiveX (etc)...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"
http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/713878...

PC World:
“Internet Explorer 7 Is Still Not Safe Enough”
http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,128536...

If you decide to use Firefox, only download it from their official site, here is the link:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-us/firefox/...

Oh and I almost forgot, here are there security records side by side:

One more for the road, IE supports webstandards horribly. Take the test:

Firefox. IE does not help much with pop-ups and adware.
IE7 is decent, much better than IE6, but I still prefer FF. FireFox makes great use of extensions, a feature missing from IE. Both use the same resources (for me at least). FF is less conspicuous and gaudy than IE7, and I like simpler browsers, though you can make it look pretty much any way you want.

And you can get the IETab extension for FireFox, so even websites that don't like FF will still work fine, without needing to open IE.
if you like to have fun with those mozilla extension of course firefox is your choice
ie 7 rules best speed best protection
just wonderful
c yah
My Decision: FireFox

i have clocked IE7 against FF

and found FF just 0.0033 seconds faster loading google.

also, FireFox has many great addons, including themes and my favourite, ForeCast Fox

although IE was just in development it is still not 100% perfect, as open source (FF) is alot better than closed Source (IE)

as using FireFox it is open source allows users to modify the code.

also as i am a web developer, i prefer FireFox as i do not need to write 90+ lines of code to modify the colours to Suit IE
surely mozilla firefox its faster then internet explorer its more reliable and i think its the best it has many adones that makes your work easier!!
