Question:I have windows XP and I went in and unchecked IE so it wouldnt be on my computer anymore. Since doing so when I am using Firefox I am having popups from IE like crazy. I can hardly use my computer cuz they are coming up so much it is really annoying. I have popup blocker on firefox and I also have McAfee Security. Someone please help me.

More than likely you are infected with spyware and or viruses. I would be a complete system scan to remove all traces

Try the following
Download the following (if you don’t have them already) and then UPDATE them. After they are updated, restart your PC while tapping the “F8” key – this will start your PC in “safe mode”. When your computer is in safe mode scan with all these programs and then trash what ever they find.

After you run this program it will finds lots of stuff, HOWEVER, do not delete anything without checking with the professionals first.

and they will tell you what's safe to get rid of.
