Question:I have windows xp and have had firefox for about a year now. I haven't downloaded and plug-ins or themes reccently but when I open firefox it doesn't load any page and when I atempt to go to another page it won't load. It doesn't pop up with any error messages and just stays gray. Any ideas?

Check to make sure you are not using a proxy.
Also, make sure you are actually getting an IP address.
Go to a command prompt and type: netstat -a
You should have a local IP that is not 192.168 or a 10.10 address. Also a 127.0 address is bad too.
You could clear your cache, or adjust it so it's larger. It's under Preferences.
You could have a computer virus. Do a virus and spyware scan.
Depends...Have dial up? Or something else? Try looking at your network or connection settings and playing around with that...Or look at pretty much anything under internet options having to do with "connection" or "network settings"...I wouldn't know exactly what's wrong with it, it just seems that if you mess around with stuff enough, you'll eventually figure it out...
