Internet Problems with Firefox & IE?

When I try to use google search with internet explorer and firefox, it doesn't load, but only says waiting for google.com... Other search engines and sites eg. forums.whirlpool.net.au don't work. Other sites eg. miniclip.com do. Only the Apple Safari browser (PC) lets me through all these sites. It might not be a denial-of-service (DOS) attack because my router's logs doen't say that.
