Question:when i use firefox there are no files in the TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES folder.where do they get stored when i am using firefox?

Exactly. FireFox does not say. But in FireFox, go to the TOOLS menu and pick OPTIONS. Then use the CLEAR CACHE NOW button that appears in the CACHE section.

FireFox uses a database file which is a single file that contains all the objects.
