Safari browser question?

I am designing a web site for a friend and he says that it is "all over the place" in Safari, but it looks like the design I intended in IE, Netscape and Firefox.

Are there any issues with the Safari browser that I should be aware of when doing web sites? Also, about how many people use this browser - is it "worth" the effort if there is a small number?

The web site is at http://www.dslmorris.com/charlie - I appreciate your time to answer.

I recommend that you design your website for ALL. That means, DO NOT SAY "designed for...".

First of all, 75% of all visitors will be using IE. GET OVER IT. You won't be impressing them by telling them that it looks best in something else... THEY WON'T.

Secondly, Mozilla FireFox is second place, with about 20%.

This leaves Safari and other browsers with a measly number of visitors, if any at all.

Test it First in IE, and verify that it is OK in FireFox. If you don't, you won't know.

In general, I looked, using FireFox. They table layout looks fine. It looks good at 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768 resolution settings.

Your LOCATION link does not work.

That page looks fine in Safari 1.3.2
However the site validator http://www.w3schools.com/site/site_validate.asp finds more than 50 errors. Try to correct them.
