cant get mozila firefox to work?

loads up browser but says unable to connect, ive allowed it on my firewall but still wont go! using xp.

You may want to try these steps: 1. try closing your firewall temporarily and after you have access to the internet, opening up firefox and connecting, if it works, your firewall may not be allowing all components needed for firefox to connect. 2. If your windows default firewall is active, try deactivating it or giving firefox permission. 3. Make sure you are not trying to use non-valid proxy servers. 4. If those do not help, try reinstalling firefox after deleting the previous install.
