Is NoScript worth it for Firefox because it slows me down a lot to okay script code for all websites I visit?

I have to okay script code for every website I visit to see everything, and for some websites, I have to okay up to 10 other websites, one at a time, to see the 3rd party content.

I already have McAfee SiteAdvisor and Norton anti-malware programs, so aren't those enough?

NoScript at http://noscript.net/ claims:
"The NoScript Firefox extension provides extra protection for Firefox, Flock, Seamonkey and others mozilla-based browsers: this free, open source add-on allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted web sites of your choice (e.g. your online bank), and provides the most powerful Anti-XSS protection available in a browser."

Source of NoScript add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

It seems to me NoScript's Whitelist of trusted websites should be preloaded with the more reputable sites like Yahoo, sites which normally get okayed by the user anyways.

Answers:    i think you should stop using noscript. you already have McAfee SiteAdvisor and Norton anti-malware programs and that's enough.

but to be more careful. download this add-ons. it's called wot. it does not slow down your activity. here's the link :

if it's red, the website is dangerous but if it's green, it's not. try it
Hi

NoScript does provide a very good line of protection for your browser. But if you find it too tedious just get rid of it.

However, if you are running under a Limited User Account or/and use GesWall, DefenseWall, DropMyRights, or Online Armor's Run Safer feature for Firefox, it will provide an even better level of protection than NoScript.

I suggest you also add Adblock Plus and WOT if you have not already done so.
It depends...

I ONLY use it when I'm using a proxy.
Bad Javascript can reveal your identity when using Tor or JAP(JonDos)
Other then that,it's mildly useless...

So,unless you're trying to remain anonymous,it's not worth it,no.

You know that with Security Systems and high-protection browsers today, security isn't an issue when it comes to scripts.Tracking Cookies are the only harm they can do,and it's so minute of a threat that most AVs don't even block hem with a Firewall, only detect them in scans.

The way you described it,you're fine.
