2.0.0.6 for Windows,Mac,Linux
Question:I am having a real problem getting Messenger on my new lap top. I am able to open chat rooms and instant message screens, but am unable to see the text written in those screens. When in chat rooms I can see all the people in the room list, as well as the box where I type my text, but I can't see anything where the messages should be displaying.
I am running XP Media Edition on a brand new computer, here is what I have done so far:
- Installed and reinstalled messenger about 5 times
- Deleted Norton anti-virus and internet security
- Set all of my Scripting options to "enable"
- Set my internet privacy to low in order to allow all cookies
- given Yahoo! full permission through all windows firewalls
What else can be done?!?! Please help! Thank you everyone, I appreciate your help.

un-install the messenger
then install this 1

this is the classic uncorruopted 7.5 version hope it helps
Re-install Norton. go to http://www.microsoft.com and upgrade Internet Explorer to version 7
