We have tried both IE and Firefox with the same results. We've deleted temp files and cookies.

your computer is timing out, you need to correct the time out settings
maybe you are logged in somewhere else with a different password? did you change your passwd lately?
did you type in the correct password? sometimes it's the yahoo server that's got a problem.
