Adobe Acrobat file won't open when I click on a link?

Hope someone can help. When I click on a link to open up an Adobe Acrobat file it opens a new window but not the file! I'm using Mozilla Firefox as my browser.

Thanks.

If you open it up in your browser, it will still save the file to your hard drive on the Temp folder. At least when it's on your desktop it'll be easy to delete when you're done.

If you have trouble in general opening Acrobat files in your browser, you need to check its settings -- for FF go to Tools -> Options, choose "Downloads" across the top, and View & Edit Actions. Go to PDF and select Change Action if needed. If that doesn't work, just remove the file type from the list -- then FF will just send it to Acrobat rather than trying to open it in a window/tab of its own (with Acrobat in the background). Actually, this is my preferred behavor with Acrobat files.

umm...right click the link and "save link as..." and then choose your desktop and try to open the file from there.
ru sure u got adobe acrobat on ur pc?

if so, check it's version and compatibiliity
You dont have an acrobat reader or maybe the file is currupted. try opening other pdf file format.
You don't say what kind of computer you have. If you have a Mac, open the utility folder under applications and find the disk utility and then run the repair permissions program. It could take a little while. After that, see if you can open Acrobat. If not, go to the Adobe website and download the latest version of Acrobat Reader (you should probably do that anyway if you don't have the latest version).
