I'm not a pro at this. My computer doesn't show the new Yahoo home page because I don't have Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox (per Yahoo). Where do I go to see what my computer does have? Someone at work suggested I see what my computer does have. Any advice where to go? I appreciate it.
Answers:
Go to your explorer, then Help > About Internet Explorer.
At the top menu bar click on "help," then you click on "about internet explorer" from the drop down menu. a box should then open and it will display the version that is running.
help-menu/about internet explorer
Go to 'Help' in the top task bar then down to 'About internet explorer' this will have a lot of numbers and stuff like that. Just look for Version. It should be the first thing listed.
Open the Internet explorer, in that go to help menu ->click on about internet explorer, u will get the version of the internet explorer
Try the following, in sequence:
1.) Go to 'Start', often in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
2.) Go to "Settings" and then drag to the heading 'Control Panel'.
3.) Press on 'Control Panel'. You will see a lot of icons displayed.
4.) Press on the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. You will see all the programs displayed, probably in alphabetical order. Scroll down the list of programs to see what is displayed or has been downloaded into your computer.
I hope this advice is helpful.
