Question:i just got mozilla Firefox i always used IE and i was wondering how can i get all my favorits from IE to mozilla firefox cuz i donnu?
and how can u make mozzila firefox when opening a tab to take u to a homepage you want (yahoo) cuz its always opening blank?

This is how you get the favourites from IE into Firefox:
In firefox, click 'bookmarks -> organize bookmarks . This will open the bookmarks manager window . In this window click File->import->now it'll ask you to select from one of the other browsers installed and also it'll show you an option 'from file'. Here select from internet explorer and hit next. Finally hit finish. Now click the bookmarks menu and the IE bookmarks will be found in the folder 'from internet explorer' or something like that.
As for the homepage thing, there are two ways you can achieve this:
First way: Set the homepage as yahoo by going to Tools > Options > Main and type in the yahoo URL against 'home page' . finally click OK. Once yahoo is set as your homepage, to open a new tab with your homepage you simply middle click the home button on the toolbar. That will open yahoo in a new tab now!
Other way:
This is by using certain extensions:
you can install the extension newtab homepage , go here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox... and click on install now to install this extension. With this extension whenever you open a new tab it'll always open with what you've specified as your homepage.

Get one of these two extensions and configure them, and you're done!
First part. Select "file > import" to import everything from IE.
Second part.Select "tools > options > main > startup". Set the homepage.
When you install Firefox, they give you the option of transferring your bookmark faves. If that didn't happen re-install it.
As for the tabs, when you open a new tab you have to tell the tab where you want it to go. Open a tab an put in an addy.
Click on file then IMPORT (read the rest )
Tools>options> Home page
To import your IE settings, favourites and cookies:
File > Import... and click through the wizard.
To change your home page:
Go to the desired site. Now look right before the address - there's a tiny icon there. Drag that onto your home button and let go.
Click OK.
I recommend setting Google as your home page - mainly because it's fast to download and always useful.
