Anyone know how to use a webcam?

i want to use my webcam, but not through the internet but through firefox, how do i do that? its a PCcam as well.

if you go to a chat or IM like Yahoo or AOL, it wil work the same, the browser has nothing to do with it, if you just want to takew pictures with it, it should be listed i my computer, you double click it and there you go
