Use portable firefox
Google portable firefox.

Zip up your old portable firefox before updating or downloading your new one.
That way your hyperlinks password and junk stay with you.
You can then plug that into a usb thumbfrive and take your work with you.

I have problems every time Firefox updates. I have solved the problem by going into Tools-Options-Updates and clicking off Firefox so It can no longer update.
