How do I go directly to an URL in Firefox?

Question:I want to go directly to a site in firefox, but it takes me to a google search instead. For example, I type in www.yahoo.com in the search bar, but it takes me to a google search for www.yahoo.com. I want to go directly to the site.

Enter your URL in the address bar usually located at the top of the Firefox browser (longer text bar, situated next to the "Home" button).

You might have entered the URL in Google search bar.
