I'm using Win XP Home Edition, and have tried in both IE and Firefox. It's happened at a few sites, always when there's a Javascript that causes a pop-up window to appear to let me view the file. I have GetRight, but I'm not sure how to set it up to make it download the clip that I want. For an example of what I'm trying to get (and a really funny video clip), check http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geuppAUfBDWwkBHiZXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE2MmxocnJiBGNvbG8DZQRsA1dTMQRwb3MDMQRzZWMDc3IEdnRpZANZUzczXzg2/SIG=123e5guqp/EXP=1139909312/**http%3a//www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2687446%3fns=1 -- it's one of the Java pop-ups I'm not sure how to work around.
Answers:
The video clip u r trying to download is a streaming video and u cannot download streaming video on your pc unless the webmaster allows u to do so. However, u can rip these streaming videos to ur hard-disk using certain softwares available. The best i know of is "SDP Multimedia" which can be downloaded for free at sdp.ppona.com
Just open it,
Press CTRL+N (works w/ IE & FireFox)
to launch a brand new window
with ALL its menus enabled ;)))
Now, in that NEW window, use
CTRL+S for Save As / Save Page As
You have it !
Enjoy ;)
