Firefox just stopped working on my machine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and that has been no help at all. Everytime I click on the firefox icon, a little hourglass comes up, then nothing.

This sounds like a problem that involves a good little item i like to call the "windows 98 startup disk".
What you are going to have to do is put that computer of yours through a good ol' fashioned restore.
trust me, it has helped me all the time.
Especially when my computer always seems like it has a forest up its a**.
I not sure why it would do that. Try downloading it from a mirror site. Could be missing something in your download. And you may wish to do a System Restore to an earlier time when it was working well. Hope I helped. oh..... try going to their site and looking under FAQs too. PEACE
