What plugin is necessary to play video clips on webpages? It comes up "unknown plugin" needed. Any ideas>?

Operating system is Windows XP, I run IE 6 and Firefox. Windows Media 10 installed. Clicking on the "get plugin here" link returns an "unknown plugin" message. What am I missing?

Hi, I suggest you try downloading quicktime. www.quicktime.com
you may need a different media player to play clips from web pages such as quicktime... and so on.....
this is more of a technical approach
you could open up the source code of the page (view menu in both ie and firefox) and look for what's bothering, if it's a .mov file, quicktime should fix this, otherwise it could be anything else.
if you could post a link to the site that's giving you the error it'd be easier to pinpoint what plugin is missing
