I AM USING WIN XP SP2...I HAV MCAFEE VIRUS SCANNER,OPERA,FIREFOX....RECEN... I HAV PROBLEMS WITH MY BROWSERS...WHEN I USE THEM THEY SUDDENLY GETS H ANGED FOR 20SEC AND THEN WORKS....& NOW WEN I CLOSE IT THEY CLOSE DOWN..BUT WEN I OPEN TASK MANAGER.....THEY R STILL THERE.....MY MCAFEE VIRUS SCANNER GETS DISABBLED AUTOMATICALLY.....PLZ HELP....

Please note, that is NOT the correct download address for Firefox in the first post; Mozilla supply their own product from their own website; you already know that because you have tried Firefox and have problems.
Did you upgrade from Firefox 1.5 recently? There have been problems with uninstalling 1.5 and upgrading to the latest version.
I recommend that you go to the Mozilla site and download the latest release, then download Ccleaner.
Disconnect from the net, then run Ccleaner. Use the Tools button then uninstall Firefox.
Then select the Issues button. If Ccleaner lists a load of Firefox issues - and I'm guessing it will - select them so they all have a green tick, but deselect everything else. Then run Ccleaner to clear out the registry issues.
Then re-install Firefox, the latest issue not the flawed version you have. A lot of people have had this problem, don't worry about it. It should run fine after this.
If you still have problems after this please update your post, and we'll try again.
Hi, there maybe something virus with your IE.
i recommand you to try firefox. which is more safe than IE.
it can block that annoying ads and disable any virus on webpage. as you know, most virus are spread through internet.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

close the process in your task manager then restart the program
You can open Firefox in safe mode if you're having problems
Start>All Programs>Mozilla firefox>Safe Mode
I'm pretty sure that you have a virus or a annoying spyware!Whatever you do,do NOT disable your mcafee viruscanner! first scan all your files with mcafee then scan your files for spyware with lavasoft ad aware se combined with spybot s&d google both programs to find them they are both freeware and to increase security just google spywareblaster it's a small tool that prevents spyware being installed and it really helps! i hope i helped you out with this one!
unistall all browsers OPERA,FIREFOX....
reinstall 1e6 hopefully this will reset your browser and install any missing files
if ie6 then works properly install another browser if you wish
assume winxp also reinstall sp2 as some of its files might be missing aswell
