Answers: I think it's a matter of opinion, some people like one better than the other. I personally prefer firefox 3 because it doesn't slow down your computer as much as firefox 2 does when you have a lot of tabs open, but the downside to this is that occasionally the program stops responding when it starts to overload. It's also easier to bookmark pages.
Another feature I like is that in the navigation toolbar, instead of typing a url you want to go to, you can just type in a word that you're looking for that relates to a previously visited website and if it's in the title of the website, firefox will provide you with the url to go to. It's pretty convenient if you know what you're looking for but can't remember how the web address starts.
If you're not sure you can always try it out and then reinstall firefox 2 if you don't like it.
